Farm Manager for 6,850 sow farm in Romania

We are currently looking for an experienced and results-oriented Farm Manager to manage one of the largest farms in Romania housing 6,850 sows (breeding – gestation – farrowing – weaners).    

Premium Porc Group is part of DCH International, a Danish holding company specialized in establishing and operating large scale pig production in Romania, using Danish technology and know-how.

We are currently looking for an experienced and results-oriented Farm Manager to manage one of the largest farms in Romania housing 6,850 sows (breeding – gestation – farrowing – weaners).    

We expect you to: 

• Manage, coordinate and optimize the overall activities in the farm to ensure production targets are reached;
• Lead, work closely and develop team leaders;
• Lead workers and make sure they are all trained to efficiently perform daily activities;
• Ensure all equipment and systems (ventilation, feeding, penning etc) are operating within optimal parameters and conditions; implement maintenance plan;
• Run frequent whiteboard meetings with all people;       
• Review all activities inside the farm and ensure the SOP is updated and followed;
• Responsible for the overall farm biosecurity program;

Ideal candidate has:

• Relevant strong experience managing a large sow farm with excellent production results;
• Experience in a leadership position managing large teams of workers; willing to lead by example, work hard and show the way forward;
• Very ambitious individual with strong desire to continuously improve and achieve high-level production results;
• Open-minded with excellent communication skills;      
• Structured approach, know how to prioritize while managing multiple balls in the air;
• Good skills in English, both written and spoken; speaking Romanian represents advantage;
• Knowledge of Cloudfarms and Microsoft Office package.
